Skype

Deadline: 18 November

Skype is a free software that works seamlessly with your internet connection, allowing you to chat away with free Skype-to-Skype calls and never worry about cost, time or distance. You may invite your contacts to download Skype so you can talk, instant message (IM) or make video calls for free.

In order to get to know this technology as well and to eventually use it for some of the group work in this assignment you should set up a Skype Phone call with your Peer Coaching Partner.
At the end of the session you should answer to the question of what might be the potentials of a tool like Skype for coaching.

Please follow these steps
  1. In case you don't have Skype on your computer please download it from the Skype website and follow the instructions
  2. Once you created your account and signed in two Skype find contacts and add them to your list of contacs
  3. Set up a date and time with your peer coaching partner and make a Skype call
  4. Then please reply to this post by answering the above question

    I cannot access Skype with my Nestlé computer. I will ask for having this site unfiltered but this may take a few days.

    Potential of Skype is to use video and audio through webcam in counching sessions! And it doesn't have incremental communication costs beyound normal internet.

    Hi Silke & peers,

    My Skype account is robrasing, waiting to be added to your contact list. For me using Skype is new and seems interesting as a Dutchman (cheap), though I believe that the Adobe Acrobat Pro Meeting tool gives more possibilities for peer coaching.

    looks like I face the same problem as Pascal. Unfortunatelly Nestle comps are protected from downloading such programs. I will try to fix it but it may take couple of days.

    Hi everyone,
    my skype account is maciej.kazmierczak100 but it looks like I won't be able to use it on Nestle's comp. Simply we are blocked to install any of non-licenced programs. Probably other Nestle fellows will face the same problem. Anyway for peer coaching I will use my private comp.
